So my mangroves have started sprouting leaves which I suppose is a good sign for the health of my fuge. There is also a bunch of zooplankton crawling on the glass in the fuge which I am stoked about. The gracilaria has a bunch of new sprouts growing upwards towards the light, but like I mentioned before there are some kind of worms living in the sand that are eating it. Is it normal to have worms in the sand in a fuge or are they something I should investigate and possibly remove??
I would ID them first..
Also, I am keeping my calcium, alk, and ph levels all in range and my corals seem to be doing well. I still haven't started testing for magnesium or any other important trace elements yet but I'll start as soon as I get the test kits. I am seeing new coraline algae growth on the glass.Just get ALK CAL and MAG. You should get a PH monitor..if not a good PH test kit.
All I'm putting in the tank as far as food for the corals is a couple drops of phytopheast a day. Is there something else I should be adding to feed the corals? I've heard of target feeding, should I try that? Which corals and how?
I use a "PIPETTE " with thawed food in a small glass in tank water to thaw
As for the prawn roe and or cyclopeeze (good stuff if you can find the frozen stuff.) I just dump some in the tank to "float" around and let the corals catch some in there tiny polyps. it.
