In picture 1 and for sure in picture 2 the sand IMO is way too deep for smaller rays. that would be the BIGGEST concern.

Alleykat removes sand and rays get better.
Abortedsoul removes sand and rays quit 'curling.'
Irbanjaxed did not remove substrate and stingray dies.
Common Sense would tell me that sand is the common denominator... and you can't say its just because they are fresh imported wild reticulata, because how would it be the same for a captive bred leopoldi??? Are you going to try to argue that the most prolific stingray producer in american history has an issue with 'water quality' or something otherwise when he specifically stated - The losses stopped when the sand was removed.

Then we will see if it looks special.![]()

would make the sand very expensive. Better sell it to a bottle factory for a good price so they can make new bottels of it.Gr8KarmaSF;2449367; said:Comparing all these situations is invalid, to many unknown factors with each situation...
Great idea! Takes the discussion to another level....
Anybody know the major differences if any in fish VS ray gills?
