do what i am doing and get a tank that allows you some decent size fish if you choose something like an arow.... think 36" wide.

Can't really get anything wider than 24 inches or so. I have the wallspace for up to 8' long though.

I think that peoplea are always gonna want bigger, the space/money that they have are limitations. You should be strict on yourself, once you get to the point were getting more would be too costly, you should tell your self that. Eventually you have to stop, I mean, how well could you even look at your fish if they were in the ocean?

At some point one of us will wise up and build a glass house in the ocean.

Seriously though, I look at my 300 and think, "If it were just a foot wider, maybe I could put some redhorses in there." Then I think, "And if it were another foot wider and two feet longer, maybe I could get some longnose gar or a school of white bass." Soon enough I'm trying to figure out how big a loan I'd need to build a tank that wraps around three sides of my house.

So basically, I wont be happy with a 300 gallon either. Thats not good.

always want bigger. had my 300 about a year, now i look at it and think "i just need to save some cash and get a big tank, 600 from tenecor should be ok" it's funny cause i always think, whenever i get a new tank upgrade, how massive it is and why would anyone want bigger! HAHAHA!! so yeah...it never ends

I just bought a 340 and I don't even have water in it yet. It already seems much smaller than when I first brought it home...:D

Ok this is not what I wanted to hear, but it is what I expected to hear.
