Can't really get anything wider than 24 inches or so. I have the wallspace for up to 8' long though.

Sounds like you need a 240. :)

Yeah thats what I'm thinking. The 300 that I was mentioning was 24" wide and 31" tall. I'm wondering what there 240 weights. I just received a pretty good quote on a tenecor tank, so need to make a decision by tommorrow.

man go with the 300..it will hold you down for a while.. just the cost alone to run that thing is alot.. (filtration, Heater, Electrical bills and so on!)....I had it bad.. it started with a 1/2 gal betta bowl to a 7 gal to a 36gal to a 150!!..I need a tranquilizer!!!! my next tank hopefully is a 400 or 500gal.. I think then Cost will prohibit me to go bigger!!!

Started as a 20 long then went to a 29 then a 55 then a 56 column tank was next and now is my beloved 125.:) So to answer your question....no it will not stop, lol. All of this has happened within a 6 month period too just to make it even worse, lol.

I think the width plays a major part in what tank someone is looking for. I mean a 55 is 12 in. in width, for MFK'ers that doesn't give alot of space to work with. But 20 more gallons and bam you have 18 in. width which is quite nice.

Today I'm going to pick up a 7' diameter fiberglass fish-rearing tub I found on craigslist. It should be around 500-600 gallons. :)

I've had my 300 for about 2 years, but it's got a Snapping Turtle in it.

I got what I got but a bigger tank is always better. I think once I get my 300+ set up I should be happy. Only time will tell though and I can't speak from you 220+ guys point of view as I do not own one.

Yeah it's gone run amok. LOL I'm good for now though, with working and school and the GF, it's :nilly: but worth every tank andd fish that I have.
