I agree. Thats why i dislike MFK. Because people think theyre big shots because they have a few thousand posts. They always troll and act like they know everything. What your saying is true but you dont have to act like sucha snob. Not a good look.

Well good luck with the aro man!

Bushie, I am so sorry you felt that way. There is little tolerance for throwing insults and flaming so if you have issues with any of the members, feel free to report them to the staff.

And may I remind everyone else of the rules? Keep this up and we will be dealing with them accordingly. Enough with the insults already.

"Flaming," or lashing out at other participants or displaying repeated dissatisfaction of Monster Fish Keepers Administration and corrective actions, is strictly forbidden. Proper etiquette is required for participation in Monster Fish Keepers.

"Trolling," or posting insulting or deliberately divisive threads/replies for the purpose of (1) harvesting retaliatory insults and flames, or (2) throwing off the balance of the forum, is also disallowed.

Bderick, may I remind you that just because you are here armed with the knowledge many others would have coveted, it doesn't mean you have the right to start spiting everyone because they cannot agree with you or cannot follow your advice entirely. Respect is earned, not granted to you. Act with respect if you want others to respect you. The choice is up to you. Bottom line is we will not tolerate negative comments that keep inciting inflammatory/retaliatory posts. If you cannot find a way to answer diplomatically, then please think things over before you post something. Thank you.

Any updates regarding the arowana, hoping to hear it is in the 10g tank at least.

Or maybe like someone keeping a silver aro in a tank without a secure top or even no top. If the aro jumps and dies it is the keepers fault, no matter what the actions of the fish. This A. gigas was bought on an impulse with absolutely no research being done whatsoever. So yes it is the keepers fault when the gigas ended up dead.

WTF does your analogy supposed to prove? The person doing drugs has a choice the fish does not even have the capacity to even make a choice. :duh: C'mon you can do better then that, can't ya?

How in the hell is a arapaima jamming itself under a rock even compare to a silver jumping out. Everyone knows about how silvers are skittish and jump trough holes that they shouldnt even be able to fit into. But would you really expect a arapaima to jam itself under a rock?

If he had used some common sense and figured out he couldn't even house a thing like that for a couple weeks and decided to get rid of the arapaima responsibly, then they damn fish wouldnt have even jammed itself under a rock. Get it now?

Everyone knows huh...yet there is a post every week of how someones silver has jumped. We as keepers are responsible for the well being of the fish we keep. Tanks need to be set up with the fish's best interest in mind. I know that I give consideration to any aquascaping that I put into my tanks as to not harm the fish, this would include trapping them. I would assume others do the same, if not and the fish suffers... well I guess as to not insult anyone we'll all just blame it on the fish.
