Shamu at Sea world Kills his trainer...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i dont think captured or born in captivity makes any difference in the world .. they are all still animals .. and they are always going to do what they know .. look at the monkey that ripped that chicks face off .. that happens a few times year ..

if you have wild animals that are big enough, strong enough, toxic enough, dangerous enough to kill you .. and it does so ... its your fault .. not the animal ..

I've never like the idea that these whales are kept in little pools to do stupid tricks to entertain a bunch of dumb people.

Whales should live in the OCEAN. Its amazing what these animals will put up with. I'm really not even remotely surprised a trainer was killed.

Its horribly sad for that family.

... But i dont care if they are "educating" people. You can't take a whale, put it in a fish bowl, charge people $80 to enter the park, make it do stupid tricks and call it "Education"

Aquariums and Zoo that collect animals to save species from extinction and that do breeding programs for endangered species is one thing.

Killer whales arent endangered. They dont need to be in captivity for any reason.

Very sad. But very NOT unexpected.
Look at it this way. People can see the grace and beauty of an orca up close. They learn to respect instead of fear. With captive orcas, we have gained knowledge and they are no longer hunted. For the individual animal, captivity is bad, but for orcas as a whole, it is a good thing.

its gonna be put down. It needs to be put down or released its the second time this has happened with that whale.
Sometimes people have to realize the worlds kinda a messed up place, and animals have no rights.
Theres more killer whales, they aren't endangered yet.
btw til was captured in the wild near iceland

whale watching has the same effect...

only you're on a boat. and they are still where they belong. having Orcas at Sea World isnt the reason they arent hunted...

Look at sharks. We have them in aquariums, close up. Even diving with sharks. .. People still are afraid of them and still kill them for no reason and still are completely ignorant about them.

ask someone who has been to Seaworld to list all the stuff they learned about Killer Whales to you from the "Show" they saw.

I doubt the list will include more than:

They are black and white.
They do all those tricks in the WILD!!
They breath air like we DO!!!!!

someone said kill the whale .. WTF ... why? because it did what whales do? ... you see what them things do to seals .. HOLY ****!!!!

and you know why sharks attack people .... because they look like seals ... maybe a hint of things to come ..

i am 100% amazed that this kind of thing does not happen ALL the time .. with all kinds of animals .. i think we are just so used to being lucky that these things dont attack us that it shocks us when they do ..

look at humans when you cage them up .. aka jail .. look how pissed off and dangerous they are .. why do you think it would be any better for these animals?
