Sob story, try to do the right thing, know better, still get screwed.

That happens more often then not.

I got a real good idea who it was, never took him seriously. One of the reasons I try to stick to local deals if possible. Some people just don't deserve to breath.

That is wrong on 2 levels- one to the fish and the second to the buyer. Their is no way that damage occured during shipping. That fish was sick when it was packaged up and should have never been shipped out.

Flip side - There's a real good chance that there's some local people that just don't deserve to breath either. Also happened more often then not, and again I think we could all guess who it was. Always a gamble, but it shouldn't have to be.......

Sorry to hear DB It happens to the best of us. Your heart was in the right place and I am sorry you where taken advantage of.

I am pretty much over buying anything I don't inspect in person before money changes hands. Unless it is Trev I am very lucky to have him so close breeding.

I had a problem with the person in question from day one, I bit my tongue because I knew it was only a matter of time before he was gone

Sorry to hear about this, and it sucks that you're out the money...but everyone needs to remember that the real victims here are the rays that are being kept in such deplorable conditions to result in this. I'm not a ray owner-yet, but have done plenty of research on them and even know who I want to go to to get my first ones, and I know enough to tell that this isn't something that happened over a couple of days. To reach this condition this ray had to have been suffering for a while and was dumped on someone at the last minute. It's not fair for anyone involved but the innocent ray is the one who suffered the most.

Oh I know there is local sacks. At least if they are local when I see the fish before I buy I can call them out on being worthless.

Unbelievable that anyone would sell or ship a ray in that condition. I can't believe the shipper received the ray in that bad of condition and didn't notify you right away and send pictures. Instead he shipped her on to you without saying anything??

So sad, she was a really nice ray and you waited so long for her.

This guy is probably going nuts reading these posts as he can't rebut anything and is slowly crawling back into the hole to which he came from...
