They would not be considered endangered if the captive bred aros were counting toward the count. But unfortunately in the eyes of cites a fish in captivity is considered dead. So all the farms full of fish don’t count on the list, only wild are. That is why they are considered critically endangered, because of the slim numbers of wild aros

With a president who calls the virus, a "Chinese virus", its unlikely to happen any time soon. Especially, since most arowana keepers are Asian.
