Smallmouth bass tank size

I know a large mouth bass needs at least like a 8 ft tank but does a smallmouth need that much room. I was wondering if it could be in a 180 gallon tank

As a minimum, yeah. Depends on the dimensions. I think it would need to be A species only tank, or with a school of bluegill.

I would put 180 at the minimum based on potential size. They are great fish with lots of personality.

they are very sensitive to bad water conditions. Make sure you do water changes!
