I fully support Bderick's actions. While they may not have been tactful, it does serve to point out the hypocrisy in the original poster's complaint.
 
I do agree he made a point, but by throwing it in someones face isn't tactful.

For life, these guys only grow to the size of the tank they're kept in :nilly:

I don't think that's a stupid question. For some noob that sees a 2 inch specimen at a store, it looks about the same as a large cory. Besides, I would personally grow out a RTC in a 10 gallon until it reached about 4 or 5 inches before moving him to a larger tank.

A stupid series of questions would be: Can I keep [small tropical] fish with my [piscivorous] turtle?
We said no.
Two days later, he asked why his turtles feces made the water cloudy and if this would harm his fish.
We told him that he would have to house the turtles and fish separately.
A few days later he asked why his turtle ate his fish.
