to bad..
I had some questions regarding pikecichlids.
Do they stay at 1 place in the aquarium hovering in the air or do they swim across the hole tank?

And all dats get around 50cm or bigger so u would need more than a 2 meter tank.
Cant really generalize behavior that much, it's going to depend on a bunch of factors. My pair of sp. Venezuela that I have now are very active. I used to have a johanna that was a big old girl, she mostly chilled near the bottom. In general they cruise around near the bottom but will also go near the top and beg for food.

Do you have any problem with keeping that pair with other fish in mating seasons? or just normally

I only keep them with a few silver dollars which are too big to eat. They don't bother the silver dollars much, once in a while they will chase them around. I could see them maybe being more aggressive to cichlids or fish that looked like them. Anything that can fit in their mouth will be eaten for sure. In your size tank they might be fine with your fish, but like any cichlids, it can be a gamble

okay, I will read some more and then maybe one day when I see them in the shop I will buy them. Don't often see them. They only sell the smaller ones.

In my notes I have that Polota are the smallest. Seriously fish says 30cm.

EDIT: MFK has a Dat section, and in the stickies they say the same about Polota. They list the sizes of several types here:

They look cool. And the price itsnt to high either. For 40 euros u got 1. But seriouslyfish say that they are extreme waist producers. Is this true?

So haven't really been able to find some cool fish but just today I found out about a small shop. Its sells Crenicichla Johanna. I am planning to visit tomorrow. I have had the smaller pike regain before. He was a fun guy and I really loved his flashy behaviour and colour. Is it possible to add 1 Johanna or do they need to be kept in pairs?

They don't need to be kept in pairs. Johanna are more on the aggressive side so have a plan b if it starts to attack your current fish. The attack might not happen in the first fews months.
