Looks like a motaguense to me. Very pretty, very aggressive species. I would agree to keep an eye on this one, though in a 300+ you may be fine

Yeah I agree in that the arowana should be rehomed or that you will need a much larger tank. I do not have personal experience with larger arowanas (my experience is limited to a store I worked at that had a 3 foot arowana in a 360 gallon tank that could barely turn around), but I would recommend something around 1000 gallons when it is fully grown (10 foot by 6 foot or larger IMO)
 
J Joshua75 I just now realized you have lucky bamboo in your tank. It was probably sold to you as a fully aquatic plant but its not. It's best to have the leaves above water if you want it to live. If it's kept under water then slowly it'll die.

Do something for her. My husband does so much for me that i can't tell him "no" when he wants something for himself.

Example: I was complaining too myslef about being so short and not being able to reach something one day. Hubby didnt say anything he just got up, went out to his work shop, and was gone about an hr. Came back in and set a really sturdy hand made step stool down in front of me. He kissed me on the cheek, said "I love you", then sat down and turned the TV back on. Lol

How can I tell that man no for anything?

I like your idea. I'm working on it. I think I've got her convinced to do a 2X2X8. That's 240 roughly. I still need more. Maybe 3x3x8.

Thank you for the heads up. I have gotten mixed messages on the bamboo. One said for terrariums but these ones I bought from the pet store which had them fully submerged. I will play better safe than sorry though,
