Hey guys, unfortunately the big teugelsi passed away recently. Teugelsi unlike lower jaws or really any upper jaws that get big, don't really get too much girth. This guy especially wasn't really able to put too much on because of the wound to his side. The problem with teugelsi, especially larger ones, is that without that girth if they stop eating they get noticeably skinnier. Mine ended up not eating for a good while and since he was already a naturally skinny fish, the loss in his girth made it hard for him to keep his large body on the bottom of the tank. So eventually the air pulled half his body up while the other half stayed on the ground, which contributed to his spine becoming messed up. Tried putting salt, and some more floating stuff in the tank in an attempt to get rid of the air, but it really never worked because he never started eating again after he stopped. I'm still pretty upset I could never get him eating again, he was definitely one of my all time favorite fish
