Do any of you have any idea if this is male or female? The black spot would suggest female however the slope looks steeper like other males in this thread; additionally, this is after about 8 months of having it, the size is around 5-6 in I would guess, does the growth rate seem slow? It was in a 20 gallon by itself when I first got him, and was growing and looking really good. However I moved it into a 120 with a pair of larger Severums, and Im assuming due to stress the color lightened up, and maybe the stress possibly stunted the growth? He traditionally has colors more indicative of picture texasrof2-2, however occasionally they get much darker and contrasted as apparent in the picture texasrof2-3.

From the side profile, and black in the dorsal, looks like a female to me.
