I sent him a e-mail about his Pbass's, Tems etc....All thAt I wanted was picture to make sure I was buying a Tem.My response was "Please call to make shipping arrangements"...When your buying a "used car", you dont just buy it then see it when ya get it..I think in improving his customer service, he should post pics to potential buyers that request one....
 
i didnt get a chance to coment on my second shipment so i will coment on my last two. first off i got a beautiful 15 inch marmotas hammerhead catfish for $75 i have never seen that fish in the trade anywhere. the red pike was as billed beautiful and a steal at $25. i had a few other smaller fish but those were the highlights of the second shipment. the third which i recieved friday was the best yet. i got 2 sabre tooth bearacudas a red wolf which died however joe has made it good a common wolf which loooks more like a macrobarcus. however i am not complaining and 2 tiger shovelnoses that are eating like pigs. one ate a goldfish last night that was about 3/4 his size. and my wife got 10 assorted african cichlids and they are very healthy and eating like pigs also. i cant say anything bad about joe or his buisness. i will continue to order from him just a few requests odd and rare fish from south america please!!!!!!!
 
I've ordered off of Joe, and all went well. For those who want a guarantee, he is a fish dist. not a lfs. His prices are those of a dist. not a lfs. His selection is widely varied and huge, unlike a lfs. He makes his money as a dist, if you want a guarantee go to a lfs. Thats the way I look at it.
 
I ordered from Joe after trying for 2 weeks for a LFS to get me a jardini. Joe sold the fish for $18.50 that would cost $60 from the pet shop. I also got some nice exotic plecos for about $15 apiece. A ornate bichir was also only $20. I priced the Gold Nugget at PetSmart and they want $39 for the fish. I am tired of getting ripped off from pet shops and will order from Joe again. Joe got the order to my Airport when we only have one major airline. I know pet shops are in the business to make money but why are the fish and supplies marked up so high? I now get many of my supplies from Foster and Smith at 1/2 the price.
 
i just got an order from joe, love the fish, all came alive and kicking. i ordered about 35-40 fish and they are all fat! one thing is that i ordered an albino clown knife, and i think or i am almost positive that it is just a regular ol' clown knife which is fine, but i was looking for an albino

about 3-4 days after i got my fish i noticed that all of the clown loachs that i got from joe had a bad case of ick. after taking 2 hours and taking everything out of my tank i finally caught the 4" clowns and put them in a q tank. i put 1 tsp per gallon, 50-75% water changes daily and raised the temp to 86. after 2 weeks they didnt pull through, i am almost certain that i got bad fish. am i entitled to a refund or new fish? none of my other CL's had ick, just the ones from tfd, and they had really bad color. i wonder if they sent them sick.... altho joe says diffrently......
 
The DOA policy is fulfilled when they arrive. It's not difficult for clowns to come down with ich when they're shipped in the winter. There's also stress from the shipping that just fuels their liklihood of contracting something during the shipping/settling process. It doesn't mean that they were "bad" from the warehouse. I Q all winter arrivals right from the box before adding them to my tanks.
 
I've never had a CL that didnt get ich, which is why I dont have any lol

If they arrived alive they're your babies:)
 
I have ordered from Joe 4 times, I recieved a order last week. The order was full of mishapps. 1. a wolffish bit ethru the bag they refunded the $15.
2. my sabre tooth baracuda came in with a white spot on each of his eyes. spending money to fix the fish
3. my yellow tail barracuda came in with nose and fin rot and died 2 days later
4. 2 red tail catfish that I bought one never ate and died this morning I am guessing internal parrasites
5. the sizes were horribly wrong The RTCs were on his list as 3"+ and they were good to be 1 inch the orange pike I got was 3"+ as well and was less than one inch the red hooh was described as Large but was about 2inches top to bottom deffinantly not large.
6. I ordered a C. Saxalitas pike and recieved a common eye spot pike the size was right about 3 inches but i picked one up identical to it for $5. last week before the fish arrived.
Overall I am very dissapointed in the order. The customer service is good but I am scared that a simular fate will happen to me as the others on this testimonial page. Also if anyone thinks I am just pissed that my fish died and just lashing out scroll down and see where I have wrote about each order and NEVER said anything bad about the fish service or Joes buisness. I have reccamended people to look on Joes site and gave pet shops in the area Joes web site and phone number. Sorry I have to write this critique wish I could have been pleased like the other orders.
