The ****** ******* ******** ************ thing still leaks.
I just spent a couple hours getting it all setup. Sitting there admiring the tank, all the pumps running, substrate in, heaters on, etc... Then I notice the drip...
I got it drained and slid it off the stand a few inches to feel the area that I fixed and it's not wet at all. I can't feel any water coming out of the chipped area on the bottom. Nor is the foam very wet at all. I am beginning to think that the foam never completely dried out and once the weight of the tank compressed it down it got pressed back up onto the bottom panel just enough that I could see the color change. I also spilled a little water on the back panel and maybe the drips slid down and kind of sucked in there somehow, if that is possible. I could clearly see the color change in the foam though on the area where the chip is that I patched. However that was the wettest area before so it is possible the foam still had water in it. I am thinking of just replacing that foam piece and trying again. Maybe globbing some epoxy over the patch just for the heck of it too...
We'll see but I want this mother filled! It looked so good.
Here is what I am picking up after work today ^^^.
It says it is poisonous but I imagine that is for liability reasons. I can only assume once cured it should be OK... If not I guess we'll find out, I'm not really sure what else I could try. I also looked at all the different Epoxy kits they have online and they all say poisonous, but this one states it sticks to Acrylic so it's the one I am getting.
got the same pot srubbies from my local dollars store they never seem to run out i know they always be wondering what the hell i doo with all those scrubbies(must be an easy brand to get)
