Nice! I really like the sand. Where did you get it/what kind? That smaller one is too cute. Makes me want to go get another!

It is pool filter sand. :) I rinsed it and like no dirt came out at all. It is 100% natural pre-rinsed and 50lb was only 13$. It is .45-.55mm and is uniform grain size so that it is more difficult for gases to get trapped in the sand. When I put it in, I lowered a jar full of rinsed sand into the tank and dumped it on the bottom and it sank quickly without cloudiness. A lot of people don't like it because of the uniformity/unnatural look, but I think it looks like a fine sanded beach. :D

The smaller one after closer glance doesn't seem to be that much smaller. Hehe. They are feasting right now, and the "larger" one was climbing one of the plants... SO cute.

Well I like uniform color TBH, I think it looks great. Make sure you head to the bait shop and get yourself some organic raised earthworms. HOLY CRAP they will love you for it! :D Gator goes from chilling in his tree to "I has a worm!!!" in like 2 seconds..

Ha AWEEE! We got some frozen bloodworms and soft amphibian pellets ... The breeder sent me salmon pellets but the cat found them (in the kitchen cabinet :screwy:) and ate them ... :wtf: but he is sending me more. Next on the list has definitely been some wormys :D

Don't forget massivore. The sinking carnivore pellets are just as good and easier to track down than the salmon pellets. I just picked up a few extra bags and so far my dude gator loves it. ;)

They look great. I have never seen them that small--only seen adults in person.

I mentioned to justin they had some at a small LPS and I wanted one so we decided we should both get some. I haven't picked mine up yet. :(

As soon as my Cory fry are big enough to be housed with the adults, it's axolotl time! :D

I miss mine :(
