  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
did they say the cartridges arent reusable for it? because if they really talked to consumers and designed it based on there advice, i would assume you could atleast get multiple uses out of a single cartridge.

the fine filter cartridge is not reusable.... the rest are.... no more can be said... i shall simply advise you to wait a few weeks before judging it.

as you can see, they ain't gonna be cheap!!!!

:WHOA: Thanks man!

I'm not sure if this has been said but I wonder if this will lead to a price drop in the FX5s. that would be sweet. 200 a pop again would be nice.

not going to happen... these are a premium filter aimed at the same market as the 05 series...

it's designed to do the same job as the fx5, which is all about filters large volumes of water for messy fish.

I agree this is a premium filter for people who want more than the 05 series, but I find it very hard to believe that Fluval is planning to compete with their own FX5, or that it does "the same job" as the FX5. They just started selling the FX5 in the last year or so, right? That would mean they are abandoning both of their top-selling canister product lines in favor of one new line costing twice as much. If so, their marketing people should be shot.

Wow, I wonder if it plays that porno-esque music as it filters too...

lol! its a love machine not an aquarium filter!

seriously though, i think the fluval g is meant to compete with the eheim electronic canister filters. the fluval g seems to have a digital display and such, like the eheim electronic filters. the fx5 and the fluval g are just sisters, with the latter being more advanced and such.

the fluval g was shown for the first time in germany today and in the UK on sunday.

you will get more news next week.

hang on to your wallets people.... i predict you WILL want one of these.

Hagen have been working on it for years.
