Yeah, mission is to break even. Will probably take a few months, but I won't take electricity into the bill because I only have this tank and a 125g running and I don't pay electricity myself, my parents do, as I am 17 and still live with my parents.

cool idea, I'm doing the same thing with anglefish and a few other here nor theres. I made really good money selling Axo's though
Today (04/20/12) I added a pair of Bristlenose plecos (Ancistrus Dolichopterus), they aren't officially a formed pair, they are just a male and a female, they have never bred. I have had them in my 125g for a while, and thought I should try to get them to breed. Male is 8cm and female is 9cm.
well guppies are a easy care and hardy fishy. you should make your money back easily in a month. i got 2 males and 4 females in my 125g and every time the female is about to have babies i transfer into a 10g. she has babies and i put her back in the 125g and i repet the process in a month i have about 50 babies . so easy
No updates really as there are no changes in the tank, guppies haven't bred yet, but both females are getting close.
I find it hard to break even with guppies unless they are pure strain.
I've bred RedCherryShrimp and they are somewhat profitable but they breed so easily the whole city has been flooded with them and now can't give them away.
I've had Tropheus pay for themselves and some but probably wouldn't work in a 10g.

If you have a pair of ancistrus and want them to breed, you need a cave. You also have to condition the fish. Zucchini is great for getting ancistrus to spawn.
Yeah, I'm not surprised judging on where you live. Where I live fish are much more expensive, ergo, guppies go for a higher price, even the ones that aren't of a pure strain.
I know all there is to know about breeding Ancistrus. I have a cave in the tank, and I feed them pickles and sinking pellets.
