We're getting into the nineties already, summer is going to be brutal. The good news is that since I planted the garden our drought has lifted. Now I just have to worry about flooding. The price you pay for living in paradise.
i could not take all the unknowns... now your going into hurricane season...and then i start worrying about everyone...

i had a huge tray of lavender growing from seed..lost them when i did the transplant..timing is everything..keep us updated
Yeah lil seedlings and smaller plants need daily care. That's why some of mine died, I would forget for a day and then the soil would dry out.

Everyones gardens look or sound great, look forward to seeing more pics. When I get my computer up and running I'll load some pics of mine. Built a raised platform and am growing a summer squash(for the wife) and a zucchini(for the plecos). Got a tomato plant growing upside down from a topsy turvy bag, a purple passion vine growing on the fence and planted a little meditation and flower garden in front. All watering not done by the rain is from water changes. The flower garden uses edging made from recycled milk cartons and the mulch is recycled rubber. Using solar powered accent lighting and a gazing ball. Trying to be as green as possible with it. The vegetables have responded quickly to fish water and already have a zucchini growing. Will update as it grows.
Get them pics up. Pretty cool growing zucchini for the pleco's, lol.

UPDATE:Lots of pics!!!! :)

Here's the ones that survived me not watering them once in awhile. A few tomato plants and a cucumber and a pepper plant is left. I'm hardening them off now for transplant soon.

DSCF0003-3.jpg

I think that's the banana pepper plant.

DSCF0004.jpg

Here's the bell pepper one. I paid for 1 plant but I was looking around and this pot had 2!!!!!!!! lol

DSCF0005.jpg

Just a random big tomato one I got.

DSCF0006-1.jpg

This is called a Mr. Stripey tomato. Google it! It looks cool so I had to get it. It looks likes it was alot bigger then they trimmed it, but that's fine.

DSCF0008.jpg

Here's a poblano or something IDK, we shall see later.

DSCF0009.jpg

Here's the onions. Their literally only about a month old. Also I have only watered them twice.

DSCF0010.jpg

Here's some on the other side, their even bigger. After I pull these out, very soon, I will be planting some red onions for my GF.

DSCF0011.jpg

Strawberries! They look pathetic but I just planted them like 2 days ago. THeir beside the onions. I'm going to try and make them grow one way so they don't grow past the wood barrier.

DSCF0012-1.jpg

I could never grow watermellon seeds. I've tried three years in a row and they would never even sprout. I saw some seedlings at Walmart and bought them. I planted them today. With little seedlings like these also my cuc's I always make a moat around them, so they can use as much water as possible.

DSCF0014-1.jpg

This is another set of watermelon seedlings. Their called Crimson Sweet.

DSCF0015-1.jpg

Here's the overall garden, I still need to clean it up a bit. I want to put stepping stones in between the plants so I don't have to step on the soil when weeding and such.

DSCF0017-1.jpg

A random flower that popped up this year. Who knows what it is.

DSCF0016-2.jpg

A random bee, lol.

nice! if i had a backyard i would have a garden :( but just outside my apartment door, we have a lemon tree in a pot, some basil and parsley, and an orchid that is about to go into full bloom. Pour some tomatoes out for your cooped up homey

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!

The garden is rockin, I've planted everything I wanted. Even some cantaloupe which I have never grown before.
DSCF0012-3.jpg

Some pesky bug or animals were getting in my garden and eating my tomato plants so I installed a fence, it's not done yet, but it will be soon.

DSCF0006-3.jpg

These were a little bit after planting in my garden so their a bit crappy looking, but they look better now.

DSCF0020-2.jpg

That's onion which is getting to a decent size.

DSCF0022-2.jpg

Strawberries.

I never use fertilizer, like ever. IDK why I just haven't. Well I decided to use some today for first time ever, hopefully it will help them.

I also decided to do an experiment and did a double dose on two of the cantaloupe plants, they will probaly die but just thought it would be fun to see what happens.:)

since when can you grow a pickle

A pickle is just a regular old cucumber. I have quite a few pickling varieties. They just stay smaller, you cut them into fourths and put them in some pickling salt or lime(I don't remember) and let them age a bit and you have some awesome pickles. Their like white though instead of the greenish yellow.:D

Garden looks like it's growing well.

That's awesome. I've been thinking of getting into gardening to calm my nerves. Seems to be a calming and tranquil hobby.

I wonder if Gardening Hobbyists go crazy over the rare veggies that end up growing and pay top dollar....LOL..HAHAHA

Would any of these be considered rare and the holy grail of the gardening world....LOL

How about the "GOLD PHASE TOMATO"
