fish arent equal to humans, okay, i value fish but if he killed millions of fish on purpose that wouldnt justify it.[enjoyable_attempt];2418991; said:
I myself woulda liked to throw him in that river and see how he liked it
Thats pitiful.eternity302;2419017; said:HHAHHAA!!! i would of pushed him in!
Druu;2420970; said:I disagree, p4p. What's to say a life of a fish is worth more than a human? People are overpopulated, fish species are being depleted. While it would be a stretch for me if it was a common fish species, if he killed an endangered fish, I say fry him. Criminal punishment only serves its purpose if it causes individuals to act differently when there is otherwise an inclination to act unlawfully.
oscarcrazy;2421870; said:Bit of a derail imo. I've killed millions of fish, really I have and have been very well paid to do so. Hope this doesn't put me on the top of your hit list druu.Lets not get into this human=animal=equal human crap that pops up here now and again. This thread was a fun rant. I may have killed millions of fish, but I think waste is stupid. Lets keep this fun.
Druu;2422193; said:Meh, I forgot the invasive species exception. Hit list? That's too blue collar for me. I plan on drafting the legislation that gets voted down by a huge majority.
I believe the sacramento pikeminnow is one of the few CA native fish still maintaining a healthy population, too bad we lost the colorado pikeminnow, those things get massive(6') i love fishing for pikeminnows because they seem just like ugly trout to me, in fact i'm going out tommorow morning to try for some. i thought i posted it here, but i don't see it so i'll just do so again. i called a DFG biologist i interviewed for a class earlier this month and he said that it is illegal to throw fish onto the beach and leave them, basically CA law is that if you catch it, either keep it and use it or throw it back.Bottomfeeder;2420478; said:Haha pwn'd
Up here in NY happens all the time. It's tough to look at and gut-wrenching, and downright pisses me off, but nothin you can do about it. Up here, ppl catch a buch of 4'' Bluefish (limit on Shorts under 8'' is 8 I believe) and put them in a platic bag. Really got me going was when someone up here did it with an 8'' Jack Crevalle. There so rare up here, and a tiny one like that has no meat on it, maybe it should be released to surprise another angler! Happens enough that you just gotta deal with it IMO. You gut guts to mess with his catch to; credit too for saving the Squawfish, endangered species!
