Taking shape. I will use the frost damaged boards for the glass cut outs since they will need another coat.

Now to figure out how to take apart a glass 75 gal aquarium. IMG_2067.JPG

Looking really good. The built in sump is a great idea, was that the plan from the beginning or an evolution of the build?

I originally hoped to buld a below aquarium/sump but changed the plan to fit my two 75 gal aquariums. I hated to not use them. I made a few mistakes estimating the space for my fluval filters. I would of had two 75s and the filters would have to be on the outside of the stand, or inside the stand wth 3 inches of the aquarium behnd a support leg. Theoretically filter and aquarium would have fit, but would be NO fun to take out and clean. As long as the filters were on the outside i decided to build he sump, adds about 35 gal to each side. Total evolution of the build. Saves me from having to link the two aquariums too.

When you are taking apart a glass aquarium, take off the bottom first. it will make the rest of it alot easier. Just be careful, I have cut myself on the sharp edges of glass many times and one time i took off a panel it shattered in my hands and i almost lost my thumb (left a cool scar though). Have fun and can't wait to see what you do next.

Going strait for the hard stuff. I used this once to remove paint from an aquarium. At the time I was worried that I ruined the aquarium because i saw what it did to silicone.IMG_2079.JPG
