It's possible, supposedly it came in as the Cr. wallacii that you ordered from The Wetspot. Obviously it's not the same as the pikes I've had or you have under that name. I wonder if it might be the so called sp. Inirida dwarf that has appeared on a few lists lately.
Okay, no clue how bad this is going to be, just grabbed the roomy's video cam and started (never used one before btw). I'll get a tripod for next time, and try to do something about the light reflections off the water surface. I actually already dug out the tripod and was shooting a second video which included a yawn shot when the battery died. Doh.
Highlights are dorsal flaring starting around the 1:40 mark and head on posturing against her reflection at about 2:55. As you can see, the mopani gives lots of little caves along the sand that she darts in and out of a lot. Hence the video rather than trying for pics with only a single crappy light over the tank.
I'd switched to the 480p setting when I previewed, noticed a difference on my monitor at least. It was shot in HD though, only running VGA on my monitor atm, so not sure it it'll run at higher for anyone. And I don't recommend full screen.
I had that thought as well when I first saw it. The Orinoco dwarves and the Colombian wallacii come from the same general area, so it was a possibility. I pulled up Scat's post on that species, but the male didn't have the dorsal extended. The females have the ocelli. I should pm Scat and have him take a look.
Peanut has been MIA for a bit now, I would have thought he'd jump on this post. Especially since I didn't recognize it.
