BeautifuLL with double LL:)
this guy is a eater in the dark but won't eat with lights on. Can't wait to give them smelt.

I was thinking at your stock... a congi would look nice in there.
i think it would look nice with any of the following. Pbb, teugelsi,Congicus. Unfortunately all these are hard to find locally.

Wont you asked Hao Hao if his going to sell you his congi?

I think your poly would love smelt cause smelt has this strong smell the polys like, just my opinion.:)

be careful, smelt has a higher calorie count.... compared to capelin. But that is for dolphins. Don't know how it works for polys. The dolphins loved the smelt though. :D

Polyaddict86 Polyaddict86 thank you for your detailed post providing instructions how to store the anchovies/smelts. I found a bag and best of all its product of Canada; not China. Sorry I don't trust food made in China. I defrosted in cold water and cut in half. The big bichirs loved it but the little one won't touch it.

have you tried feeding capelin? Has anyone tried? I saw this at the market as well.

Hmmm.... my biggest reasoning behind why i never tried smelt, capelin, or other saltwater type feed was the sodium content. They seem similar to the farm raised tilapia. Also concerns of the thick spine that the poly has to digest. Protein seems to be higher at 21g versus the smelt 15g.

Any nutritionist here good at deciphering this tilapia label to the smelt above by fishncash?
