Utah to use execution by firing squad on Friday

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
LOL, in China, he would pick the bullet that will be used to execute him. Then the Chinese government will send the bill for the bullet to the family and the family would have to pay for the bullet used. Imagine that - you choose and pay for the bullet that will kill you. They would have also executed him within 1 week of being found guilty. I do not know why it takes 20 plus years for the appeals process.

the whole thing is with cancer or any other diseases its not your choice to some extent but we wont go into that but it was his choice to pull the trigger multiple times so he needs to man up and face the music.

I agree. Prison is retarded. It doesn't make any sense to give people a looooong time-out and expect them to emerge magically cured of what got them there.

I agree that they are different, but feel compelled to again assert that recovery for both can be attained. Harder to treat? Yup. But if it can be treated, it must be somewhat analogous to an illness. So why are we willing to spend millions on chemo and surgery for cancer but so ready to kill the killer who suffers from his thoughts? Why is it okay to kill him for his illness while the cancer patient gets a chance? Obviously if I developed cancer, I'd die because I'm poor, but the point is there.

And is it a well-adjusted person who chooses to kill of his own accord? No. Thus, the decision came from flawed thinking. Flawed thinking which can be corrected.

Now I don't think that's fair at all. You don't have a choice weather you get cancer or not, are you kidding me?! This guy made his bed and now he's got to sleep in it. He MADE this decision for himself. He knew what would happen if he got caught and he did it anyways. People with that little self control should not me here anyways

I don't understand what you mean by "no reason to kill the innocent who haven't been fortunate enough to figure it out". If you are trying to imply that he is a "victim" of circumstances then I strongly disagree with you. This guy made a decision to kill...period. Has nothing to do with humans being born with raw clumsy instincts.
exactly.

calling this guy a "victim" is a piss-poor pathetic excuse. he's not an animal, so its stupid to even compare him as such. he's a human, with a fully functional and working brain. he knew right from wrong then and he knows right from wrong know. dont give me that crap about how he was raised and so on.

im of the opinion that people who kill do not deserve second chances. and i'm not talking about self defense or a killing that occured in the heat of the moment. im talking about cold blooded murder, like what this guy did. knifegill, youre all gung-ho about second chances for violent murdering criminals, but what about the victims? where's their second chance? or the victim's family? the only closure they have is justice for the killer and you want to take that away by a few hours of therapy and singing kumbaya around a campfire?

gimme a break. thank goodness there are people out there with a little more common sense that believe in capital punishment.

Yeah, his thinking can be corrected, but what about the people he killed? Can they be brought back? He has to pay for his crime and the people have decided he has to pay with his life. Why be soft on murderers? Maybe on other crimes, but not murder.

Hmm that's interesting. That would just make me a little nervous, what if they got the wrong guy. I know that rarely ever happens but it has happened before. And then find out later when more DNA evidence comes in....oops!

ahahhahahahahahahahhahah its funny how you word things

and lol at china. not in a bad way, it just sounds funny to me

They should make all the murderers and pedofiles fight in an arena, like the old school coliseum.

Sell tickets and put on PPV and use all the money to actually do good in the world. Feed the poor ect ect.

Could make it a monster event like every 4 years like the olympics. Last a week or two. Would be some good entertainment.

Right, right. I agree he chose to kill, and that it was totally and utterly wrong and awful. And he does owe society for what he's done. But if he dies, how can he pay us back? We can condition him, employ him, let him be a spokesperson from his cell, etc. Why did he make the choice to kill? You've got to get psychological and find out the things in his head that are off and correct them repeatedly, testing his response to stressful situations and keeping a close watch on him for a long, long time. It's just not right to kill again (by executing him).

Perhaps some of us are forgetting to care about him. What if you were his mom? Just saying.
