If you are really "trying to learn" either get a bigger tank, or take them back to a fish store that will take care of them.

A 40 or 55 will accommodate them fine for about 6 months - a year depending on how fast they grow...

If you dont have the funds to upgrade then dont get fish that will get 3 inches or bigger for a 10 gallon in the first place.

He has been through this before, read his old posts on other threads. He is a guy that is too stubborn. He KNOWS how big they get and what care is required, but he insists on keeping the fish regardless.

Feel sad for his fishes, and maybe its about time this thread gets :lock:

+1 :banhim:

i posted for help on my first tank and found out quickly what mistakes i made. i took the advice and am working to correct those mistakes. not this guy. :irked:

i tried to give him the benifit of the doubt. i followed pyramids advice and went back and read all of the threads he started. he has been given advice many times and from what i can read has never done anything with it. he is very sarcastic / never has a pic / never has water parameters / ignores very helpful suggestions / and on top of it gives boligerant replies to people who call him out.

time for this guy to go.

Some people just never get it! Guaranteed he'll be back in a month or two asking a similar question and disregarding everyone's advice.

whats up community!
I just bought two white and black oscars from walmart.
they are placed in a 10 gallon tank.
what can i expect from these fish?

Way to small..at least 55 Gallons but 75 is more reasonable..for one oscar IMO but another IMO is for two I gotta say 125 Gallons..have fun with them though. :D

A oscar will eat anything you put in the tank. Only at walmart will they sell you oscars for a 10 gallon. That is worse then selling a great dane to someone that lives in studio apartment. Two oscars would need 100+ gallons
