Wanting to get in shape for the summer!?

Well first of all, i'm a girl so I don't want to get ripped. I want to loose the small amount of extra fat and get a little toned. Thanks everyone for all the info, great advice!

hmm well i play tennis 2-3 times a week which keeps me toned. when you eat salads just eat them without the dressing. use olive oil if you have to fry anything. there isn't any easy way to keep fit, you just gotta do exercise if you wanna lose it
 
Up your fruit , cut any chips and fried crap. Hydroxycut worked in the past too. I up my hydration if I need to cut weight then if necessary I can tone it down to hit the scale (Wrestling weight cut)
 
OK so its been over a month. How much weight have you lost? What have you been doing?
 
What I do my mom calls it "grazing". I never really eat one big meal, i eat tiny snack-like meals through out the day. If you just eat one big meal you can't burn all of that off as easily as a small meal so graze through out the day, plus i love healthy food so i am always snacking on some fruit or veggy. Also what I do when I just dont feel like eating is drinking a slim fast for breakfast!
 
I didn't read this whole thread so it may have been said already.
If you like bread/carbs. Do not cut them out of our diet totally just eat everything in proportion. This is why all these fad diets fail.

You cut these foods out of your diet and you loose 50 lbs. But, when you "end" your diet you eat them again and you gain everything back.

When I was loosing my college weight I would jog 3 times a week with my dog, cut out chips and pop (I still had fast food every now and then) and I was taking green tea pills and CLA (Congigated Lineolic Acid [sp???] it targets the loss of belly fat). And I lost 40 lbs in 2 months.

Also, Eat a biiiig breakfast, lots of fruits and oatmeal or a cold bran cereal, snack on a handful of nuts mid morning. At lunch have a salad with a vinegrette dressing with a salmon fillet. snack again in the afternoon on say fruit or raw veggies (so good for you) and have a light dinner. rice or grilled veggies with some grilled chicken breast.

p.s lots and lots of water!
If you like lemon add it, it is a great de-toxifier.

And green tea! Have it with just honey and cinnamon.

Wow that's pretty amazing! I will have to try those CLA things. You go to the drug store to the diet section and see 5million bottles of "weight loss" stuff, I never know which ones are good for you or actually work. I have a dog too so maybe I will start jogging. How long did you jog for when you did it?

I got my CLA from a health food store like GNC.
The best way to jog for weight loss I find is:
1. Use an iPod!
2. start walking and jog for short bursts say 1 minute at a time or until that next street I can see waaaay up there..haha
3. Work up to being able to jog longer.
4. But for best weight loss it is best to fast walk then jog, fast walk then jog. You want to have your heart going in bursts.
5. I also start and end with stretches. And have a hot bath in epsom salts to reduce muscle pain and dissipate any lactic acid.

Oh and don't drink a lot of water before you run. I don't bring any water with me (as a general rule just keep yourself well hydrated at least 8 glasses a day). Drink water afterwards though!

Its been over a month. Are you doing anything? Any success? All the advice in the world does nothing unless you use it.
