Weight training/Macros/General workouts

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Get gud.

I'm just trying to get fit at a base level
honestly that's the most important thing. You want to go slow and develop proper technique more than anything! Oh and have fun and be healthy! Those are my thoughts anyways. :)

Developing a routine and discovering new things that you enjoy doing are exciting achievements as well.

P.S. Rugby training looks insane and awesome. Like the workouts off the field are too! It's some really intense stuff. Some of my co-workers (back when I was training), were doing a rugby program and they were exhausted every workout lol. You are definitely going to get a great base level of fitness and then some!

Get to the 1,000 lb club. Just about 100 more lbs to go.

that's awesome! Congratulations!

For me my main goal is to be moving/lifting without pain! Particularly in my back, knee, and shoulder... well elbow and wrist too. Can't run or lift super heavy any more, so I modify a lot of exercises and swim/bike. I miss the back squat lol. But finding new goals is cool too.

You are so close! Hugh Jackman is in the 1000lb club. Then you can say you are in the same club as Wolverine.

Our rugby is getting more intense. I start again in the winter terms, from April-September.

I remember I couldn't do pullups last year and now I can maybe do 3 or 4 full pullups on a 7 or 8ft high beam

When we do fitness it is tough, but I have come far in a year. Now I'm also starting swimming twice a week at school and every Saturday at the gym so about 2 hours a week total. As well as an hour of pre-season rugby fitness once a week. It's really helped my state of mind and body :p

Thank you everyone for the motivation and the kind words. My depression has been pretty bad lately compacted with my favorite fish being sick and guy trouble(of course lol). And just been disillusioned with other stuff. Exercise is usually my outlet. The funny thing is I "should," know how to motivate myself. I was a personal trainer and instructor for 7-8 years until this summer. Usually I can force myself to do something no matter what and love exercising. But last week was really hard.

I always have trouble with the food, especially wanting to eat sweets all the time. This week has been better and back to normal workout wise. Just trying to remember that it's okay starting from the bottom and modifying things. I've had to do this 3x now, but this time is the longest "recovery" phase I've done without completely re-injuring everything.

Current goals:
- deadlift 200 lbs again. (currently at 135..slowly working back up)
- 120lb front squat. (current at 80).
- 5 pullups again( currently can only do 1-2 chin ups)
- bench 125 again( currently at 75)
Looking good man :)

He's sitting a bit heavier than me. He weighs 215-225 and I'm around 165.

don't let some dude bring you down and out of your fitness goals, the sexiest women alive are the ones that lift lol. Those are pretty good numbers to get to, you aren't far off those goals, get at it!
Do you guys have any performance goals?
I want to be in the 1000 pd club and be able to run an 11 minute 2 mile again lol.
