Weight training/Macros/General workouts

Theres a few different ways to wrap. Liked the french wrap (thinknthats what it was called)

P predatorkeeper87 could probably better advise...since hes a ninja
I use muay thai wrapping, knuckles get an extra layer, and you can really synch down the wrap on your wrists for better support.

Sounds like yall know a lot about exercising! I like it. Making me want to learn muay thai and finally master a Turkish Getup. I can only hit a heavy bag for probably 30 seconds without passing out lol. Maybe that's why I don't do HIIT. Although this past week I've only been biking and not doing my typical 3-4 lifting days a week. Been really depressed lately, and for some reason the only things I can do when depressed is light cardio.

1) what do you do to motivate yourself when you don't feel like exercising that day?
I usually just force myself to do it, but you know...

I just think about how there's people who are probably wanting to do the same thing I want to do and I say that today's my chance to pass them.
 
My motivation is to get fit for rugby and get myself going since I have only been able to play sport for a full year and a little since my operation
 
My instructors instructor always says, "the hardest part about learning karate...get in the car"
Very true, I don't know anyone that regrets a good workout

Never let depression define you. I've been down that road and it only snowballs worse. Get in the gym and go for a PR on your best lift, that's how I beat the depression funk.

I always want to be in the gym...for me I don't like when others are better at something I love. If I don't go to the gym I know someone else didn't miss that day and it pisses me off. I also have about 4000 inspirational gym quotes on my computers at home and work, I read them on days I feel meh. All about lookin' good naked! haha.

The macros thing is about the same as the above. I know if I eat something crappy and go over my carbs or fats then someone else didn't and they are going to be better at this than me. I hate feeling like I didn't do anything on any specific day, so sticking to my macros allows me to feel accomplished. Plus, I do IIFYM so I eat some pretty delicious foods haha, my final meal last night was breakfast sandwhiches made out of plain waffles with turkey bacon and egg whites lol.

I used to think of something or someones that would make me angry... and iron mikes best line " everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth" lol seriously

Thank you everyone for the motivation and the kind words. My depression has been pretty bad lately compacted with my favorite fish being sick and guy trouble(of course lol). And just been disillusioned with other stuff. Exercise is usually my outlet. The funny thing is I "should," know how to motivate myself. I was a personal trainer and instructor for 7-8 years until this summer. Usually I can force myself to do something no matter what and love exercising. But last week was really hard.

I always have trouble with the food, especially wanting to eat sweets all the time. This week has been better and back to normal workout wise. Just trying to remember that it's okay starting from the bottom and modifying things. I've had to do this 3x now, but this time is the longest "recovery" phase I've done without completely re-injuring everything.

Current goals:
- deadlift 200 lbs again. (currently at 135..slowly working back up)
- 120lb front squat. (current at 80).
- 5 pullups again( currently can only do 1-2 chin ups)
- bench 125 again( currently at 75)
