Just do public accounting. That will bring bucks for sure. To be admitted to a public accounting firm, do not go to their job fairs. Because there is way too much competition from fellow students or recent graduates. What you do is you patrol the online classifieds and look for ads that says "Company Confidential." That's what the big companies are doing nowadays. That's how my GF got her job and she is pulling very descent money. There are months when you have a bunch of overtime but you get more pay as well.
I'm not sure if Economics or Business Economics will work though.
I have Political Science degree from UCLA and its worth nothing where I am working because I work in a chemical manufacturing plant. Although its a good thing that I took a minor in Environmental Systems. Pay is excellent for a recent graduate but considering that I will be working for the company for almost 3 years, I should definitely be making what I am making, maybe more. I am thinking getting an MS in Occupational Health and Safety Concentration in Environmental Science and in the manufacturing, chemical, or general industry field, that rakes a lot of moolah. The fact that I like what I am doing is an added bonus.
