Muscle Asylum is all junk...nothing but crafty marketing. As for supplements, my routine is pretty simple.

Multivitamin: Animal Pak
Protein: ON 100% Whey or Nitrean
Misc: Muscle Milk (meals on college are rough)

In the past I've taken Cytogainer, True Mass, Noxplod, creatine, and some joint support thing. IMO, the simpler the better. Just eat like a champ and lift like its your job. I'm taking in about 3200 calories and 225g of protein everyday and am putting on clean mass still. Went from a scrawny 145lbs to 190lbs in a little over a year and a half.

wow good for you. what a difference in such a short time... you are inspirational to people just starting out... .i quess some people really need the supplement but theres no replacement for eating right..

I'm in the gym every day.

Day one: Chest/Bicep
Day two: Abs/Cardio/Obliques
Day three: Back/Tricep
Day four: A/C/O
Day five: Legs/Shoulders
Day six: A/C/O
Day seven: absolute rest

I just try to stay active. When I'm not in the gym, I'm out riding BMX and playing football or wrestling or MMA. The only thing that kills me is drinking. In college, you can't get around it.

You should be instructing others ..great routine.

Not eating fast food, and I married a girl that likes to cook (score one for me). It's amazing what home cooking does for the body. I also go to a school with all parking at the bottom of a huge hill, and most classes at the top, except for one that is across campus on the bottom of the hill after a class at the top. That's why Texas State has some of the best legs of any party school around. I usually spend my weekends pulling seines and electroshocking in streams (a helluva workout) or hiking around looking for arrowheads and stuff. For upper body, I prefer the twelve ounce lift and "deep breathing" exercises. Happy to say I'm in the best shape of my life. I'm 25, 165 lbs up from 145 2 years ago. It's mostly muscle, but instead of a six pack, I have more of a jug of beer...

The whole focused workout and gym thing never has appealed to me. I'd rather be out doing something with the fitness part as just something that goes along with it.

Thats even better no doubt about it because you are out and enjoying yourself..and you sound like you have such a stable environment too..makes a big difference taking care of yourself when your happy..and you do sound happy!

Im a 22year old college student, that works 3rd shift. I have never worked out a day in my life(honestly) and live out of restaurants for the most part. I am overweight...but am trying to eat better. I stopped smoking and have vastly reduced my alcohol intake, and switched over to diet soda, and greatly limit my number of sweets. I figure if I eat what I want...just less of it and try to make some better choices along the way Ill be healthier. Ive lost about 15lbs and a clothing size by changing a thing here or there in the last 2 months. Id say a contributing factor to that has been getting diagnosed and treated for polycystic ovarian disease, its supposidly a contributing factor to weight gain.
