What does a fish see when it looks through the glass?

I have a blue and gold macaw who likes to stare at the fish. He was sitting in front of the tank when a blood parrot comes and stares at him. My bird stared back. They stared at eachother for about a minute and my bird finally said, "hello!"

That's awesome!!!!

Now I'm going to get a scuba mask- dunk my head and test this reflection theory. If I'm not back in five minutes come looking for me.

I'm inclined to believe my Oscars know who I am. When I walk by the tank they go to their feeding hole and wiggle like an excited puppy untill I feed them. Anyone else and they either dive to the bottom of the tank or attack the glass.
