ok so i seen these 2 fish before and i was wondering if i can have either one alone in the 55G long..there called midas and red devil cichlid.
Which Cichlid is more right??

Not for life. 55s are not wide enough for an adult RD or Midas. You'll need at least a 75 minimum. After several years of growth you may need to go up to a 90.Yellow_Perch;4930966;4930966 said:
Generally, you don't want to add a fish that will be longer than the width of the tank. It will be harder for the fish to turn and maneuver. Get something that will still have room to move around comfortably as an adult.

Use google to go research for yourself instead of having 100 people fill in the blanks for you. No one knows what you want and there are thousands of threads on MFK that you can search as well to see fish.
