Opinions are one thing, you on the other hand accused the OP of intentionally damaging the bags and boxes to make your friend look bad. I wouldn't take well to that opinion either. Just saying.

no bias here, but yours are assumptions. Your trying to take the facts and flip them around. Fish are dead, packaging sucked.... nuff said !! Thread was not intended to get me anything but simply get some opinions already knowing who was @ fault. Your opinion has been got (you side with Ira) although you clearly stated that that something was wrong with the packaging then proceeded to make excuses but fact is that IRA did package no matter how you try and flip it ;)

and thats every ones opinion(doesnt bother me at all)i would not expect everone to agree with me or disagree with me,but if it doesnt look right in my eyes i am going tp speak up. apologize if it hurt your fragile feelings,but it is still my opinion if you like it or not.if i had come out and agreed with u we would not even be having this conversation.but i dont agree with u so you can say what u want about me.I still stand behind my original opinion.

yes this was done as a favor but no that is not an excuse for the way it was packaged. The original seller was actually willing to ship but Ira said he would help out and do it when I asked so the seller and I both gave him the credit and trust of some rare fish given the vendor status and his experience in shipping.

NO staging here son pulled the bags out point and shoot, nothing to it. I didn't drink the water and I didn't suck the air out of the bags to make your buddy look bad :screwy:

pics speak volumes, just accept the truth. I am not on here saying do this do that but I am gonna make it known and everyone aware so they don't suffer the same fait.

and since you wanna blow this up YES EVERYONE THIS IS FROM IRA (THE WISH LIST) NY Vendor who shipped this.

One of the bags must have either had a hole poked by a fish or just plain leaked. In the end, all the bags ended up looking exactly like yours, no water and no air.

Moral of the story, it is not always the sellers fault. Sometimes, Murphy's Law just kicks in.


it doesn't seem like you want to hear peoples opinions on who to blame at all. you just want people to tell you it was the shippers fault.

keep reading.... was this fact or assumption ??? His assumption was One of the bags started off w/ a hole and in return caused the rest to have holes. Opinions are welcome but accusing me of staging the photos is a joke. If you go through the whole thread you can see the only argument derived is w/ buddha and he is not the only one that said it wasn't just the shipper.

Sorry for your loss, and all the headache. Be careful bringing this on the open forum though because opinions can be made, and reputations wrongfully tarnished. I'd contact the seller and get this issue resolved first before progressing any further.
I just read the first page of this thread and WOW I'll just post now instead of reading the rest. Robert called me to ask about shipping fish for him I agreed I also picked up a festae for him about 80 miles from my home as well as making several trips to NYC to check on and pick them up before shipment. The Monday in question when the shipment was not made was because Robert did not send payment for shipping but after speaking with the person who actually paid for the fish he sent me the payment and the fish were shipped the following day. Now contrary to to original post I was the one who refused to ship during the period of snowstorms in the NE I even went as far as to calulate trhe exact amount of time the fish would be in the box 17-18 hours. All the parties involved can verify all the above. All the fish were individually double bagged with plenty of water and air the box was dropped off at fedex at 7:30pm that evaning EST and was due to arrive by 10:30am the following morning. I called Robert and the person who actually paid for the fish and shipment and informed them that every thing was fine and forwarded the aribill# for tracking. When the fish arrived dead Robert blamed me for it as I found out through another party who called me before he did. I feel the package was mishandled by the shipper as it would take a lot to burst or deflate the bags as well as spill water out the top of a 17" box when all the water should be at the bottom. WHO IS TO BLAME? I feel terrible that the fish died but I do not take the blame, its obvious from the damaged package that the shipper was rough with it and the fact that it was delayed for a day a half gave them extra time to handle it. My number is 347-865-11984 I called but I guess you dont want to answer Robert and that is a shame. We were close enough to speak on a semi regular basis and for you to call me and ask me to ship them. Not only did I drive over 100 miles and use tons of time in transit and on the phone to pick up and ship your fish I charged you $0 for the service. If the fish had arrived on time in that condition I would have accepted full responsibility and refunded you myself. Even the shipper refuses to accept responsibility and refund shipping because weather was the cause of the delay. I will refund the shipping to the purchaser but thats all I can do. The reason I quoted PP was because I think he pegged it about the personal attacks. For anyone who knows me you know I like to talk on the phone "been there done that" make it seem like I brushed you off or stopped communicating and that never happened. Again Robert I'm sorry the fish didnt make it I told you over and over how beautiful they were and how I regret that they didnt get to you on time. I'm sorry you felt the need for sarcasm and disrespect on this thread but I undestand how upset you are. This will be my only post but my number is here in bold type feel free to call.

really ??? :ROFL::ROFL: ACTUALLY lets set a couple of things straight about your post. You didn't deliberately drive out of your way to check on any fish as they had been with the previous owner for years so why would they need to be checked on ?? As far as payment for shipping the minute you let me know what the cost was the payment was sent. The real reason they did not go out on Monday was because you got stuck in traffic taking your step daughter to school (ring a bell now?) Haven't had contact with you since the day after the incident that I notified Perry and you both of the hang up immediately and all of a sudden you want to call me. Frankly you didn't want to help in any way during the mishap and it was me who pursued with FedEx with numerous phone call throughout the day and night. Keep it real Ira !!!

If $$$ is what would of got the fish better taken care of then that is what would have been done but I guess since you had nothing to lose a poor package job wasn't your worries ? I told you to use whatever was necessary (triple/quadruple bag, bag buddies, 4+ heat packs) to ensure the fish's safety no matter what the cost.

ohhh I will be calling you tonight when I am off and we can hash it out since now you wanna talk about it (no buddha not your kinda hash, sorry)
