So I've bred hundreds of lil baby crabs now. 6 or 7 successful spawns from mainly just the one girl. Once they are berried they won't eat and they will hide until the babies are mature enough to let go. I try and wait until the babies are moving around under her tail before moving her to a separate tank to release them all. I've lost one spawn from moving the mother. But it was her first time, and it seems not always effective on the first go

Also, they usually eat their shells when they get around to it. They are very vulnerable and weak for awhile after moulting. I also add Kent marine liquid calcium.

Someone please help me out, is this a regular blue cray? Or a marble cray. ? she just cut her eggs off and first I thought to eat them but they’re just there with the gravel and she hasn’t got them all of she’s just stopped and still burrowed.

Welcome to the forum!
Looks like a regular blue cray to me.
Female crayfish can store sperm and hold on to it for a long time. It likely got impregnated in the store and only just started showing eggs.

Say, Blue Cray specialists ... I had a blue which turned brown when it molted. Now everything is brown and the spawns are brown. Anyone know how I can get it to get back to blue?

From my reading, diet plays a big part. A diet high in carotenoids will make red crays. No experience with this though, just something I read.
