lol these guys are skittish...they would probably just sit on the other end of the tank.

I bet these fry are out of the pot soon tho...there is more and more starting to hover in the pot.

At what point did yall start trying to feed the fry something before you pulled them from the parents.....

When they are free swimming.I crush up flake food and feed them.And the parents feed them like stated before.

I paid 200 for the pair...for a 11" male 9" female...and proven breeders. In order to get a pair of these guys it takes some work and several females. I have no idea if that was a good price or what...I just knew I loved these fish and I was just thinking I wanted to start breeding some fish...and someone close to me was selling them. So I picked up his 6' 120 with a stand for 200 and the fish for 200. I think I am going to sell the babies for 7.50ea once I get them to 1" or 5ea if you get 10 or more....

The momma is being a typical momma...the babies are trying to leave the pot and she doesn't want them to grow up so shes trying to suck them up and spit them back in the pot lol

Fishluver...that sand works out ok for those big guys digging around in it? I wanted to put mine on sand but wasn't sure since they were always digging in it. I wonder how they would look on black sand and a black background. What kind of sand do you have in there?

lol...well...im really just into fish...but at home I was limited to only one tank so a African show tank won out with the wife. I love it too...lots of action and color. I was going to do sa/ca in the home tank ut really I could only put a few fish in the 240...now I got over 50. At work ill keep some of the big guys. I also have some F1 oscars...theres a thread somewhere here on them.
