Would These Fish Work in My 55 Gallon Show Tank?

, I know I am being quite annoying, but I just wanted to let you know that I just filled my tank up. I have a Biochemical Sponge filter attached to my Whisper 40 Air pump. I am running the hang on the back filter, and put in some Quick Start API. I am getting Water Conditioner Tomorrow. Any tips for running the cycle? Also, I just started a daily challenge thing called “Guess The Fish”. It is...well... exactly what it sounds like. I give you a picture and some info, and you guys can try to guess the fish. I will reveal the answer the next morning, and highlight with the @ symbol before their name. Have a great day!

Adding quickstart before water conditioner will not work, the chlorine in the water will kill any "live bacteria" in quick start. I have not personally used quick start so can't comment on it's effectiveness but would guess that the bottle's claims are a little exaggerated and it will shorten the cycle at best, not make it instantly safe for fish. When you get your water conditioner, I highly recommend you get seachem prime over any other generic water conditioner; the prime will, in addition to removing chlorine, convert ammonia into a form that is less toxic to fish.
Oh. Ok. So maybe API Water Conditioner will work? I added Water Clarifier, and it’s SO CLEAR! I put in the Biochemical Sponge, and have run the filter overnight. The water is clear, and I have started the cycle. Taking my first test today. I’ll get water conditioner and put it in. You can start my “Guess The Fish“ daily, go To Guess The Fish in New posts.

I would get Seachem prime, not API water conditionerOh. Ok. So maybe API Water Conditioner will work? I added Water Clarifier, and it’s SO CLEAR! Glad to hear you have the filters running! I can't see your sponge filter clearly, can you post a better picture of it?
You will also need to add an intake strainer on your HOB filter to avoid sucking up any fish or larger items. I don't think you got that part of the filter when you got the tank and stuff. You need to know the model of your filter so you can get the correct part.
