Yeah that sounds like a stupid move on Nintendo's part. I think they should have left it open period. Cause I'm pretty sure die hard mh3 players like yourself would still be playing it now. That's kind of like the Disney infinity. I bought one recently for my nieces and nephews to play and didn't know for the wii it's only one player unless you play online. When I looked it up after the other consoles let you play atleast two player then three players and up online. I was so upset I went and returned it the next day I bought it to be able to have a cool multiplayer game for the kids.

The thing with the Wii was it was always targeted towards the younger kids, and not hardcore gamers...

nintendo knew this and didnt want to sink extra money into advertising against the other big two on the market who are sinking in HUGE sums of cash to promote their systems...

So do nothing at all homer? Expect your system to sell by word of mouth? im not saying compete with Microsoft and sony but at least exploit your niche. how can you explain no holiday bundles for the wiiU this year? Its been out awhile now. its not just 300 bucks either once you factor in at least a second controller and a couple of games. What a joke their marketing has been

For 300 bucks you can buy an xbox 360 with kinect and every kinect game that exists for your family with kids and you dont need more controllers

I wouldnt say do nothing, but im sure they are picking and choosing their battles carefully by selecting markets (countries) they feel they have the best chance to sell consoles in and place their resources in those areas before worrying about the rest...

Also they know only their strongest titles will get them exposure, so maybe they are saving marketing budget for some of those games...

Did they market it over there? It was barely a whisper here and like is being discussed above, they killed the regular Wii in the process
 
You guys forget Nintendo had a factory get messed up by that tsunami if I recall correctly, that may be why they're pinching pennies so hard

Put commercial on Nickelodeon for a few thou, make billions, problem solved unless the factory prevents them from filling orders
 
Is it me does it seem like Nintendo is more worried promoting the new 2ds and 3ds, a link between worlds and the new zelda limited edition dses more then the wii u or new games for the wii u or the wii u it self.
