Your least favorite aquarium fish and why

I don't consider what you think unusual, really.

It should be noted why I hate bichirs and not lungfish is because lungfish aren't the ones who devour countless innocent pictus catfish, clown loaches, and other general community fish while their owners apathetically look on with a) the erroneous viewpoint that everything was probably going to be fine, and b) the erroneous, cruel viewpoint that just because the poor loaches/catfish/community fish were cheap, it was perfectly fine to risk their lives with (and ultimately have them lose their lives to) the nasty bichir, despite them being entitled to danger-free (read: bichir-free) tanks.
No disrespect to any bichir owners intended but that kind of thing just doesn't happen with lungfish.
A lungfish would snap each and every one of those fish in half, i know someone who lost the tip of a finger to his WAL. They look innocent but they aren't,they wait for the right moment to pounce and don't let go. (the teeth are like shears)

Welp, that's the last time I trust Larry Arnold from Aqualand!

Deadeye Deadeye , not if the fish devoured are your favorite pet fish. That's where it turns from appeal to hate.

Talking to the guy with a homicidal Leporinus and clownfish…
I get pissed when they kill each other, but I like predators and have taught myself to be prepared for the worst.
My pacu years ago cleaned tank, it sucked but got me more interested in them. Granted if I lost a fish I cared about more than the one that did it I’d be upset (clownfish), but such is life. We are keeping wild animals, sometimes even proper mixings go awry.

Innocent pictus and loaches? Lmao So are the feeders that Oscars and gulper catfish eat guiltily of something? Sorry, I can’t anymore ?

No one buys those fish as feeders. They're intended to be pets but they are carelessly and undeservingly placed in a dangerous environment, which is where I take issue.
Laugh all you want but this viewpoint keeps my fish safe (and hopefully it will keep Ghostknifelover's fish safe too!).

Deadeye Deadeye , fair, but bichirs simply don't appeal to me in the first place. They will appeal even less if they somehow end up in my bichir-blacklisted tank and wreak havoc.
You are right that we are keeping wild animals, but my point is that bichirs eating my fish will do the exact opposite of make them more appealing for me.

I understand completely. I wouldn’t want to drop something in my tanks that I know would eat everything either.

I’m laughing at some fish being referred to as innocent. You hate bichirs because they eat other fish? I guess non of my fish are innocent because they’re all predators and much more so than bichirs

I don't like bichirs because they pose a serious threat to all of my fish and because they are too drab for my taste. Not because they eat other fish.
