I dont think i could even name all mine. I have tons of broms, assorted palms, ZZ plant, ajuga (sp?) and who knows what else in my den. Birds of paradise as well. Out of it, I have a ponytail palm, Kratom tree, a Hawaiian baby wood rose just starting, and all the various stuff in my vivs. I really should write this stuff down...
forgot!! 4 varietys of grapes, plum tree, peach tree and goji berries! Also have mexican mini watermelons (actually a cucumber) in my fish room
Lep how big is the ponytail?...I have a smaller,bonsai type and a large one that used grew to about four feet tall before it died down.
I've never heard of ponytains [Beaucarnea Spp.] dying down, but I guess in the cold they could get damaged and die back. I've got a couple of larger ones (5-6' tall and 2' across) in the garden, and several smaller ones that are slowly catching up, trying to get the mass-planting look like Lotusland...
Oh no,as I said it is quite tall and there are few good places inside my house for it to overwinter so a year or so ago my wife came up with the idea of putting it in an empty room that had plenty of sunny windows where she works.Well,either the room must not have been warm enough or the plant did not get enough light but by the time I came to get it in the Spring it was just about dead...It really pissed me off as it had taken me years to grow it to that height.
