It's a small pleco. Common one.
Not gonna work. Pleco is gonna quickly outgrow that tank especially with an Oscar in it too. While outgrowing the tank the pleco is also going to produce a bunch of waste that’s going to keep piling up and mess up your tank

You'll be fine with 1 pleco and 1 Oscar. I think there maybe something wrong with the water you change cause weekly 40-50% could work. What water do you use well water or municipality water?
The same water is working for my Severum tank. They're growing big and healthy. Nice colours too. I had one Oscar in the tank for last 2 years. I feel due to some reasons the cycle broke and there's no bacteria in my filters.
Termite pesticide was used in the room a month ago. Could this be a reason the cycle broke?
This has been such a healthy tank for so many years. It just breaks my heart and I feel kind of giving up on Oscars.

Don’t give up. Find out what happened and correct your mistake.

Yes the pesticide is the reason. My dad also sprayed insecticide near my tank unknowingly what it would do to the tank . Fishes started dying 1 by 1 within a week 1 geophagus 1 black ghost knife 5 corydoras lost.
Take out the water clean and start fresh with some seeded media from other tanks.

I changed the whole water 4 times. I think this is why it's taking time to cycle.
