How much did your total cost? where did you get the doors?

About $170 I do believe... $100 of it was the molding alone though.

the doors were built... plywood with base board molding.

Well, it looks like my fish keeping days are over.

I started cleaning the glass of the tank again (got dirty from sitting in an empty room for months and noticed white dots everywhere. These dots happen to be where something has hit the glass over and over and over and over again. All over the place. Like a bb grenade went off in the tank.

These weren't there when I first got it from the indy boys when I cleaned it. I checked the tank over and over making sure it was fine before I started building the stand. There weren't there when I first started painting it either.

Somehow, from moving it in the uhaul, even though NOTHING sat inside of it except driftwood (that is way to shallow to hit where a lot of the chips are) and two boxes sat on top of the tank so nothing fell in... yet there are chips everwhere.

I don't trust it to hold water for the long haul even though all of the chips are tiny and extremely shallow. I would be nervous every second of the day and god forbid if the glass gave this apartment would be ruined and I would be ****ed in the ass forever.

So, the dream is dead. Looks like I am out of the hobby for a long time. I have already invested about 500 dollars into this and there would be no way in hell I would be able to afford an 800 dollar tank + paying people to move it in because I have no truck and no one to help me carry it.

It'll probably just sit in this room as a reminder never to get your hopes up for anything because god is always around ready to kick you in the ****ing balls with steel toes boots and then piss on you when you are on the ground crying. Maybe I will take a ****ing sledge hammer to it....

Posts some pics. It might not be that bad.

If they aren't that big, I would just fill it. Glass is a lot stronger than most people give it credit for.
