Looks good...I like the clean symmetrical look too. If you have unions at the T is there and option to raise for the filter socks? Or, I found just adding PVC at the end going into the sock makes it easy to remove. Or, just dont insert the barb fittings you have too tight.

I wish I realized earlier that I could have just not glued the barb fittings and been able to pull them off easy.... dammit

If you really think it will be an issue and ease of maintenance, you could bite the bulllet and re-do from the union you have.

That doesnt look too bad to do that. It's a pain now, but you be happier in the long run.

do you think I could break the glue bond with a wrench on the barbs? if not I will just do a skeleton structure like JK47 JK47 mentioned previously. Going to attach some plastic tubing from the barb into the sock so its below the water line. Should have just left the barbs dry fit like I initially planned

Did you use pvc cement or thread sealant on the barbs? If they do not come off you can leave them as is and just use vinyl tubing to set your drop length. That's what I would do to keep it simple and clean.

Nope, that glue is permanent I'm afraid. What I meant was if you trace back you have a nearby UNION I see. You could replace half of the union and re-do you plumbing back down to the outlet to sox - this time without gluing the barb, or just ad a PVC piece. You'll want to do the other end too.

IMO, it's a reasonable and not like you're redoing everything.

Yea not to much extra work. If I dont like the setup then I will just redo that portion after living with it for a while. Next time Im not glueing the barbs. It would be fine if the opening on the acrylic tank Im using for a sump was just a couple inches bigger.
