720 plywood aquarium build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks. that was the finish i got with a regular paint roller. Nothing special!

Lol, as soon as I hit the send button I realized that it was probably a roller finish. :)

I hate painting and especially despise using a roller. I prefer just brushing the stuff on and then pitching the brush, using a new one each time. Sadly, the end product always looks as though I applied it with my beard...

glass looking nice! you are getting there!
what is your plan for to finish out the stand?

oh one more question, what type of plywood did you use.
hardwood like birch or sanded "normal"?

Will likely wrap the standing in plywood and use some wooden fencing planks for the outside design.

I used baltic birch, both sides finished. Its a bit pricier but beats having to sand it like crazy.

Aquarium is looking very nice! For your glass did you build a frame to place the glass in? Or is resting on the bottom, simply siliconed in place?

No frame, but would have been a good idea. Mine is just siliconed in place. Not resting on anything
