75g Looking to start African Tank

Very cool.. dr exum you really have a dedication for this hobby, kudos to you for keeping som many tanks running. I have never kept Africans but they are great looking fish. I like the mouth brooders very cool stuff. I can’t wait to see the 600 come together.

Update :

I’ve got around 30 of the Redfin Piebold F1 fry in a 40g breeder. Going to use them to get the proper ratio in the wild group of their parents.

the Mibipia lutea makobe are 12 still, I’ve seen one holding once, that’s what I’m on the lookout for now as I need to balance their group as well.

question :

1. can anyone sex these? I’ll try n get more pics. They all are sadly silver, some may have 2 spots on anal fin vs 1. Three of them are tiny. A few are much larger than the rest.

Literally cleared in minutes with the Carib sea Bio Clarifier that comes in their substrate.

Took 1/2 stock out of other 75... Separated the mb lutea / Redfin Piebold as the lutea never colored as the sub dominant group... Victorians... guess that’s the case?

took 2 of the albino pleco - m/f and the two larg

spreading it around... big difference after adding large tank to the mix.

I’d imagine another 30-45 days on the fry in the 40g breeder and I’ll be able to sex them!

Update :

Redfin Piebold f1 babies are pretty good!

Looks as though there is a variant in the group... probably 30-60 more days in the 40g before i can add 10-12 females back to the 75g

I’m probably going to end up with a male tank somewhere as there are too many ?
