Just made sure they had enough space really. Don't recommend mixing in the long term for the most part though. One of the Fire Eels became more dominant over the other and started biting at its head, so had to move one. The Tyre Track is now become a bit nippy, but hoping it won't continue to be an issue.
Only when small really, was grinding up fish fillet, prawns and carnivore pellets in a mortar and pestle and feeding 6+ times a day (that was around the 7 inch mark)
They have small fat reserves and exert more energy constantly sifting through the substrate, so a bare bottom tank could mean less feeding
