ok... well just from the original direction of the thread I thought you wanted something like that... eitherway though the box construction is the best base to start from IMO and it's something wgich can be made to look however you want really
it's not about how thick the walls are, but the construction method which was being used... not even the method so much as the order in which you were attempting to build it.
I wasnt doing anything out of the ordinary. You start with the frame. When you build a house you dont put up drywall then stick 2x4s behind it do ya? lol
lol Yes you do build the framing first... BUT you use the proper sized lumber, placed in the right direction (on edge) when your building things like this it's a matter of using the method... just like the framing of a house
I believe your best bet is to start over as BL has said and for the same reasons. using 2x4s are far stronger. I think you are safest to go that way and start off with the stong foundation before you go ahead and build the tank. GL and I'll be watching
