They are without doubt green terrors.
I would take them back.I can't see them working out long term in your tank no matter how big your filter.

Without a doubt green terrors. Still cannot believe how many shops still get these fish mixed up. It's pretty hard these days to find nice blue acaras in Australia. Most I see have been crossed with terrors. It really annoys me too because they are 2 of my absolute fave species.

I know I tried to order them (blue acaras) 2 years ago with no luck, saw some labeled in my lfs and just bought 3 without doing a real through look. Got too excited unfortunately :( thanks for your time and input!

Thank you everyone for your time and replies, I will be returning all 3 sometime after Christmas. If there's any cichlid recommendation for my tank feel free to leave a suggestion! Currently looking at getting a fire mouth to replace the misold GTs

Personally I don't think a firemouth is the best choice for your tank. You have very soft water and a low ph.This is fine for your severum and a lot of other s/a cichlids.C/a cichlids like firemouths do best in hard alkaline water with a higher ph.
The other potential problem I see with your water is for your existing crayfish.I am no expert on crayfish but I believe they need more calcium in the water to keep their shell healthy.
They are also capable of doing damage to fish when the lights go out.
Severum are normally quite peaceful for their size and don't tend to harass fish they don't feel threatened by.If you never had the crayfish I would suggest a pair of Bolivian rams.Lots of character for a small cichlid.Give them plenty of shelter and they may breed for you.
If you keep the crayfish, then I think your initial plans for blue acaras could work.

Yes, I've started to put in African water conditioner to try and ensure his shell has enough calcium in it, while not making the water too hard for the fish. Thanks for your input :)
