Can anyone identify this cichlid? I know it's an African cichlid, at the store it was labeled under it's scientific name but I of course forgot it. Any ideas? Never seen one like it before.
Turkis?, saulosi?, to me a peacock is a peacock other then color to be honest. They are pretty. Ive bred them. They didnt use to have all the weird names though.
There's very few, if any aulonocara that have a white blaze. Maybe aulonocara mixed with a protomelas, like steveni. They white blaze and red anal fin are also characteristics of scianochromis fryeri, which is a common peacock cross.
+1, lot of them out there, also. Add some black blotches on the side and it could pass for some locations of Copadichromis mloto, but not seeing the blotches.
