Delhezi sex determinition

But I've seen 2-3 inch juveniles with large anal fins. And they were definitley male, because there were females in with them.
 
That I have not seen. But it's not and exact science. I can tell you first hand what I saw from mine and that's it. Both of them developed increased size of anal fin and musculature surrounding the fin at about 1.5 to 2 years of age. And then I would catch them occasionally flexing cupping and uncupping the fin from time to time. None of my male polys exhibited male fin/muscle qualities until at least 1 year in my possesion. All except the female del and the long fin were babies when I got them.
 
I read that Dels wich have a black-edged anal fin when they'r small turn out to be male when they'r grown out...do you have experiences about this? Or is it just a myth?
 
I don't know if anybody is still watching this thread..but i wantet to share the results.
I think it is pretty sure now... they are all around 10" or larger and 1,5 years old. Their fins leave no doubt.

A and Marty are Male.
B is Female
